Nate Wilds was first exposed to the bagpipes in the fall of 1993 as a first-year student at the College of Wooster (Ohio). He was intrigued by the haunting and powerful sound of the bagpipes and began lessons in January 1994.
Nate has had the great privilege to have played in the following pipe bands:

- City of Washington Pipe Band (Washington D.C.) – Grade I
