Piper, Nolan Ryan, has been playing the pipes for nine
years. Previously he played with the Tunes of Glory and
Chicago Celtic. While with Chicago Celtic they won
the 2011 Midwest Pipe Band Association Champion
Supreme title in Grade Three. As a solo competitor
Nolan is the 2013 MWPBA Champion Supreme Runner-
Up for piobaireachd in Grade Three. Pipe Major Adrian
Melvin is the major influence on Nolan’s piping. Nolan
is a junior at St. Charles East High School in St. Charles,
Illinois, where he plays lacrosse. He’s very happy to
have the opportunity to play in a band with his instructor, World Champion (with
Victoria Police) Pipe Major Adrian Melvin. He’s enjoying being challenged in his
