Nathan Wilds

Nate Wilds was first exposed to the bagpipes in the fall of 1993 as a first-year student at the College of Wooster (Ohio). He was intrigued by the haunting and powerful sound of the bagpipes and began lessons in January 1994. 

Nate has had the great privilege to have played in the following pipe bands:
  • The College of Wooster Pipe Band (Wooster, OH) – Grade IV
  • Crag dhe Cead Pipe Band (Akron, OH) – Grade IV
  • University of Chicago Alumni Association Pipe Band (Chicago, IL) – Grade III
  • Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band (Palmerston North, New Zealand) – Grade I
  • City of Washington Pipe Band (Washington D.C.) – Grade I
There have been many people throughout the years that have influenced him -- including Tim Cummings, Rich Winslow, Scott McCawley, Ron Rollo, Greg Abbott, and Stewart McKenzie.

Nate resides in Tolono, IL with his wife and 3 sons and works at the University of Illinois.
